Meet The Artist, Cristi Benavides
Artist Bio.
After graduating from The Art Institute of Colorado with a degree in Industrial Design, she says in her own words, she became somewhat “disenchanted” with her design job. She soon fell back to her true love, ..Art. Not wanting to sit at a drafting table and design according to specs, Cristi soon found herself painting once again. Since the 2000, Cristi has been working as a professional artist, selling through galleries, consultants, and the interior design industry. Cristi’s art has been collected by private clients and major companies not just in Colorado, but around the world. Cristi lives and works in Denver Colorado, where she raises her daughter and continues to expand in creativity everyday.
Artist’s Statement.
“Art is something I simply can’t live without. It can be very complex or very simple ..or somewhere in between. Art evokes emotion from us whether we know it or not. It’s interpretation is solely personal. Art is my connection with people. It’s how I’ve found a way to build relationships with people locally and around the world. I’m so grateful for this talent and especially for those that have supported me and my work. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazing families, designers, businesses, and non-profit organizations, collaborating together to create works of art they love. A big “Thank You” to all those that have supported me, inspired me, ..my vision, and allowed me to earn a great living doing what I love to do.
