Meet The Artist, Cristi Benavides.
After graduating from The Art Institute of Colorado with a degree in Industrial Design, she says, in her own words, became “somewhat disenchanted with her real job,” and soon fell back to her true love, ..Art.   Not wanting to sit at a drafting table and design according to specs, day in and day out, Cristi soon found herself painting once again.  Since she was a child making messes and smearing Hershey’s on the walls, Art has always lived inside of her.  Since 2000, she has been working as a professional artist, selling through galleries and the interior design trade industry.  She has also found success through the publishing industry, where her selected works are produced and distributed around the world.

Cristi chooses to give back and honor the world of art by supporting various charities, children art programs, and also donating her works and murals to support global non-profit organizations.  Cristi lives and works in Denver, Colorado, where she continues to learn, connect, and expand in creativity every day.

“Art is something I simply can’t live without.  I love that it’s everywhere!  Art can be either very complex or very simple, ..or somewhere in between.  Art evokes emotion from us.  And yet, it’s interpretation is solely personal.  Art is my connection with people.  It’s how I’ve found a way to build relationships, connect with people locally and connect with cultures around the world.  I’m so grateful for this talent and especially for those that have supported me and my work.  I’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazing families, designers, businesses, and non-profit organizations, collaborating together to create pieces they love.   I’ve been blessed with a wonderful family and friends who have cheered me on every step of the way.  A big “Thank You” to all those that have supported me, inspired me, ..my vision, and allowed me to earn a great living doing what I love to do.
